PURPOSE: A schmidt trigger circuit is provided to be suitable for a low voltage and a high-speed and to provide a stable output signal. CONSTITUTION: A schmidt trigger circuit includes an input terminal(300) for receiving an input signal(IN). A buffering-inverter(310) senses an output signal level of the input terminal(300) and performs a buffering function. An RS flipflop(RS-FF,320) latches the outputs of the buffering-inverter(310) to produce final outputs. The input terminal(300) consists of a PMOS transistor(P1), an NMOS transistor(N2) and an NMOS transistor(N1), which are in series connected between the power supply voltage and the ground voltage. At this time, the PMOS transistor(P1) and the NMOS transistor(N1) forms an inverter. The NMOS transistor(N2) to the gate of which the power supply voltage is applied forms a MOS resistor. Thus, the output nodes(node 1, node 2) of the input terminal(300) has always different delay times. The buffering-inverter(310) consists of two inverters(I4,I5) for receiving signals from the node and the node 2 to output the signals to the nodes 3 and 4.
