PURPOSE: A method for controlling moving robot is provided to reduce useless time during a movement of the moving robot so as to reduce working time as well as to increase productivity. CONSTITUTION: The method for controlling a moving robot apply to the moving robot which receives a moving command from a main system and moves to a plurality of sub systems to perform the work indicated. At first, the moving robot receives the moving command from the main system(S01) to process a search command from the sub system to which the robot moves and moves to the sub system after the process(S02). When the robot moves to the sub system, whether the movement is correct is determined(S03). When the position of the moving robot is determined, whether the search command processed during the movement satisfies the search requirement of an outer input signal is determined(S05). After the described steps, required work is performed(S06).
