PURPOSE: A device for supplying lubricating oil to a spindle is provided to minimize heating of a spindle and to improve stability of ultrahigh speed rotation by forcibly supplying lubricating oil to a rotational support part of the spindle. CONSTITUTION: Upon driving a supply pump(34), lubricating oil sucked from a lubricating oil reservoir tank(32) is supplied into lubricating oil supply passages(14A,B) formed at both ends of a spindle(10) by passing through a cooler(36) and flow control valves(38A-C). Thereafter, the lubricating oil is supplied to bearings(12A-D) through lubricating oil injection holes along a lubricating oil guide groove of a lubricating injection nozzle(20). Thus, frictional faces of the spindle and the bearings rotating at a high speed are continuously lubricated with oil and heat generated from the spindle and the bearings is absorbed in the lubricating oil. A suction force is applied to lubricating oil discharge passages(15A,B) by suction pumps(40A-E) driven with the supply pump, and the lubricating oil absorbing the heat of the hearings is sucked by the suction force and returned to the reservoir tank.
