PURPOSE: A method for preserving a not-read information message in a paging receiver is provided to configure a memory into an individual memory area, an information memory area, and an information preserving memory area. CONSTITUTION: If a new information message is received in a paging receiver, a controller retrieves a storage location of an information memory. The controller checks whether an information message is previously stored in the storage location. If the prestored information message is a not-read information message, the controller moves the not-read information message to an information preserving memory, and stores the not-read information message in the information preserving memory. The controller stores the new information message in the storage location of the information memory.
