PURPOSE: A steel composition for carburization is provided to lower strain resistance and secure high strength after carburization. CONSTITUTION: The steel for carburization is characterized by comprising C 0.15-0.25wt.%, Si 0.15wt.% or less, Mn 0.45wt.% or less, Cr 0.70-1.20wt.%, Ti 3.4xN¯ 0.05wt.%, N 0.010wt.% or less, Al 0.005-0.050wt.%, B 0.0005-0.0050wt.%, S 0.005-0.025wt.%, P 0.02wt.% or less, O 0.0025wt.% or less, a balance of Fe, and other inevitable impurities. Further, the steel comprises Nb 0.03-0.08wt.% and Ca 0.0001-0.010wt.%.
