A deuterium discharge lamp (4) emits predetermined light by discharge between an anode (20) and a cathode (22). A lamp housing (6) includes a lamp container (28) for storing the deuterium discharge lamp (4), and a pipe holder (32) for supporting a heat pipe (30). The deuterium discharge lamp (4) and the lamp housing (6) have positioning means (36, 26), respectively, which position the deuterium discharge lamp so that the cathode (22) can be set near the holder (32). |
