The invention relates to a band or sheet-shaped printing carrier (28) consisting of at least two partial printing carriers (10, 11) defined on the top by upper surfaces (12, 13), on the bottom by lower sides (14, 15) and laterally by peripheral edges. The invention is characterized in that the upper sides (12, 13) and the lower sides (14, 15) of said partial printing carriers (10, 11) are located at least parallel to a common printing carrier plane, in that the partial printing carriers (10, 11) border laterally on each other at least partially on the edges (22, 23) and in that they match each other in such a way that the bordering edges (22, 23) are joined in a substantially non-overlapping positive fitting manner.
