PURPOSE: A power train controlling system implements a general control proper to the current running characteristic of an engine and a transmission and includes a self diagnostic circuit integrated with a driving output circuit. CONSTITUTION: A CPU(central processing unit, 16) of a power train controller(12) receives self diagnostic signals generated from a PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) output driving part(26) and a load driving part(28) and calculates the signals. Then, the normality/abnormality of the instruments corresponding to the respective signals are correctly decided. Therefore, an efficient control about various devices such as an engine, a transmission, driving machines, loaded machines and indicators are enabled.
