PURPOSE: An air conditioner is provided to enable a horizontal blade and a vertical blade to operate without manual manipulation by a user. CONSTITUTION: A blade frame is prepared with a louver unit containing a vertical blade(27) and a horizontal blade(22) while at a downside, a manipulation panel unit retaining a control panel and machinery components is prepared. Upon rotation of an operating protrusion(45) toward an upward slant face of a slot(41), in an air conditioner of window type, the vertical blade(27) installed vertically by operation of a drive motor rotates left and right. Then the horizontal blade(22) interlockingly rotates upward and downward. Cold air discharged through a cold air duct is guided based upon position of rotational angles of horizontal and vertical blades(22,27) to be distributed uniformly indoors.
