A PILOT GENERATION APPARATUS AND METHOD FOR INTERFREQUENCY ASSIGNMENT HARD HANDOFF, THEREFOR HARD HANDOFF METHOD

PURPOSE: An apparatus of generating a pilot signal for hard handoff between frequencies is provided to connect a distributor to digital modem parts operated in BTSs(Base station Transceiver Subsystems), and to distribute signals to pilot RF paths, so as to transmit overhead channels and traffic channels as well. CONSTITUTION: An IF amplifier/distributor(100) distributes IF signals outputted from digital modem parts(200,210) for substantial calls to a call RF path device for substantial calls and a pilot RF path device for hard handoff. The pilot RF path device up-converts the distributed signals, and delivers an identifying pilot signal identical with an adjacent BTS(Base station Transceiver Subsystem). The pilot RF path device comprises as follows. Transceivers(300-330) up-convert the distributed signals as frequencies of pilot signals identical with the adjacent BTS. Power amplifiers(400-430) amplify the up-converted signals, and deliver the amplified signals to an antenna.
