PURPOSE: A transferring device for a cassette of a VCR(Video Cassette Recorder) is provided to control movement of a carrier when a cassette is incompletely mounted on the carrier, and to open a tape protecting cover combined to the cassette when the carrier is moved. CONSTITUTION: A locking lever is hinge-combined to a holder(3) forming a carrier. An open lever(6) having a protrusion(9) is hinge-combined to the other holder(3). The levers are simultaneously rotated for moving the carrier. A stopper is formed in a housing(1) for rotating the locking lever. By moving in the carrier, the protrusion of the open lever is hung to the stopper for regulating movement of the carrier. Moreover, a protruding piece(12) is integrated to the housing. Thus, a tape protecting cover(10a) of a cassette(10) is completely opened by the protruding piece.
