PURPOSE: A car HUD(head up display) system automatically controls the irradiation angle of a displayer about the combiner of a windshield according to the focus of a driver's pupil. CONSTITUTION: A car HUD system having automatically controlled irradiation angle comprises a pupil sensor, an electronic control unit and an electric motor(8). The pupil sensor mounted on the room mirror of a car captures the position of a driver's pupil. The electronic control unit outputs a control signal for controlling the irradiation angle of a light, which is irradiated to a combiner(7), according to the value sensed by the pupil sensor. The electric motor(8) moves a final mirror(5), which reflects a light to the combiner(7), back and forth and from side to side according to the control signal of the electronic control unit. Thus, a driver can see always a clear image.
