PURPOSE: A vehicle bumper stay is provided to prevent a vehicle body from being deformed by widening a side member connected to a back face of a bumper stay despite deforming a bumper absorbing shock at a collision. CONSTITUTION: A bumper stay(4) in a vehicle is composed of a tower(1) arranged in an end of a bumper; a bumper stay panel(2) covering the tower; and a stay(3) protruded vertically in the front of the panel and inserted to a side member. The bumper stay panel is supported elastically by two towers, and moved laterally with sliding structure. The bumper stay is moved horizontally with the sliding structure in applying the impact to the bumper. The bumper stay prevents the side member from being deformed despite deforming the bumper absorbing the shock with being contacted to the collision object directly in applying the shock to the bumper.
