PURPOSE: A method for controlling a temperature of a motor is provided to prevent temperature from increasing more than a constant value as managing the driving time and the stopping time of a motor by converting the driving time and the stopping time into a rise value of temperature and a fall value of temperature respectively without a temperature sensor. CONSTITUTION: The method includes six steps. In the first step, the present temperature is set up to an initial value which is previously set up. In the second step, the present temperature and the lower limit of a previously set temperature are compared when a print operating command is received. In the third step, a print operation is performed when the present temperature is lower than the lower limit of the temperature in the second step. In the fourth step, the time required for the print operation is converted into a rise value of temperature and the converted rise value of temperature is reset in the third step. In the fifth step, the print operation is delayed for a predetermined time when is previously set when the present temperature is higher than the lower limit of the temperature in the second step. In the sixth step, the second step through the fifth step is repeatedly performed until the print operation is finished.
