PURPOSE: A torque converter is provided to remove a slip speed between an absolute speed and a relative speed for minimizing shock by equalizing the flowing angle of fluid flowing into the input of a pump and a turbine with a slip speed removing device. CONSTITUTION: A torque converter consists of a pump(1) for pumping oil; a turbine(5) rotated by fluid from the blade of the pump; a stator(9) between the pump and the turbine; and a slip speed removing device removing a slip speed between an absolute speed an a relative speed by equalizing the flowing angle of fluid spouted from each blade of the pump, the turbine and a stator to the other blade. Herein, the slip speed removing device comprises a first guide vane(13) between the stator and the pump, and a second guide vane(15) between the pump and the turbine.
