CASTABLE REFRACTORY BE USED IN FURNACE

PURPOSE: A castable refractory being used in a furnace is provided which keeps enough strength and has low specific gravity at middle temperature and is strongly adhered to between inner wall iron covering and built-in brick of a steelmaking furnace without cracking and peeling. CONSTITUTION: The castable refractory being used in a furnace comprises: (i) 78-92 wt.% of magnesia aggregate wherein a seawater magnesia clinker and a natural magnesia clinker are aligned according to the particle sizes of large-sized particle, middle-sized grain and a small-sized grain; (ii) 3-10 wt.% of sintered globular-shaped alumina fine powder containing 1-3 wt.% of alumina cement; and (iii) 4-9 wt.% of silica.
