PARKING PLACE MANAGEMENT METHOD BY ECR

PURPOSE: A method for controlling a parking lot by using an electronic cash register that grasps empty parking spaces in advance is provided to help a driver to find a parking space easily and promptly without extra guide personnel. CONSTITUTION: The method includes the following steps of: (i) judging coming in or coming out of a car; (ii) retrieving a parking space memory storing parked cars on the total parking spaces and judging if there is an empty parking space, when the car requests to enter the parking lot; (iii) saving a parking number and the entering time on a parking address of the empty parking space and issuing a parking card; (iv) inputting the parking number of the car when the car wants to leave and collecting the parking fee based on the entering and the leaving times of the parking address saving the parking number; and (v) issuing a receipt of the parking fee and resetting the contents of the parking address where the left car was parked.
