PURPOSE: An apparatus for fixing a spare tire is provided to automatically fix a spare tire for placing the spare tire into a trunk room without unfastening of a nut and to take out the spare tire by a simple switch operation for taking out the spare tire. CONSTITUTION: Rails and a screw gear(2) having a left-hand thread and a right-hand thread are installed in a housing(3). The screw gear forwardly rotates a motor(4) by an output signal from a sensor(8) pressurized by a spare tire rim(6), and backwardly rotates by a cancel signal of an operating switch(9) under the control of a control module(10). A pair of fixing units(7a,7b) are installed at the upper portion of the housing for holding the center of the spare tire rim spirally moving with the screw gear and extending/contracting depending on the rails.
