PURPOSE: A tensioner for a power transmission belt is provided to minimize a space limit by being formed in a reading module. CONSTITUTION: A power transmission belt tensioner consists of a belt(140) transmitting power from a driving pulley to a driven pulley; a transferred object combined with the belt; an elongated hole shaped slide unit formed in the transferred object at a regular angle with the belt; a belt tensioning unit combined with the slide unit in one side for generating displacement and placed over the belt in the other side; and a tensile spring(170) combined with the belt tensioning unit in one side and fixed to the transferred object in the other side for generating restoring force. Then, a guide block(155) slides upward to tense the tensile spring and the belt is inserted between a belt hanging post(130) and a belt fixing piece(135). After that, force applied to the tensile spring is removed and the belt is tensed with specific displacement.
