A mixture of a waste material with binding properties and a fibrous waste material is heated and then extruded through a die. A method for making articles from waste materials comprises heating a mixture of a first waste material with binding properties and a second fibrous waste material with reinforcing properties to a plastic state, and forming one or more articles by forcing the plastic mixture through a pre-heated die (20). Independent claims are also included for (a) the process apparatus, and (b) an assembly comprising this apparatus and a device for grinding objects into particles of a given size in order to form the waste material.
