The powder coating comprises epoxy resins, phenolic crosslinking agents, catalysts, fillers and additives. The fillers used are crystalline silicic acids modified with glycidyl groups. The invention also relates to a process for the exterior coating of metal pipes and to use of the coatings for a single layer exterior coating of metal pipes.
