摘要 PURPOSE:To increase the quantity of light which is taken in a projecting lens from a liquid crystal display panel without enlarging the diameter of the projecting lens. CONSTITUTION:As to the liquid crystal display device provided with a 1st microlens array 2 for converging the incident light on the liquid crystal picture element part 1c and which is arranged on the incident plane side of the liquid crystal display panel 1 where a liquid crystal picture element part 1c and a black matrix part 1d are formed, and a 2nd microlens array 3 provided with a microlens 3b for converting the light transmitted through the liquid crystal picture element part 1c of the liquid crystal display panel 1 to the collimated beam of light and which is arranged on the light emitting plane side of the liquid crystal display panel 1 so as to make the light outgoing from the 2nd microlens array 3 on the projecting lens group 4, the light emitting plane 3c of the 2nd microlens array 3 is formed to a projecting and curved plane so as to converge the light outgoing from the 2nd microlens 3.
