The device is designed for stepless changing of the torque of a bicycle transmission by changing the length of the arm depending on the loading of the pedals. The device consists of a driving sprocket (2) on which the arm (4) is mounted, shifted from the center (0) in comparison with it. The device operates by the force which the rider exercises on the pedals by arms (4 & 7). Depending on the size of this force, the appropriate arm is revolving around a point which is the geometrical center of the gear rim transferring the torque to it which torque is dependant on arm R1. Under specific conditions the arms revolve around another center and transmit the torque of the gear rim, dependant on arm R2. The travel of the pedals can be alternated by using small arm R1, and if required to be increased to a maximum, corresponding to arm R2. 2 claims, 4 figures
