The domestic cooking plate includes a heated plate (2) mounted within a casing, with electrical heating elements (5) lying beneath the plate to provide heat energy. Control of the temperature of the plate is achieved by means of a fixed temperature thermal limiter (10) through which the electrical supply to the heating elements is controlled. The limiter cuts off the electrical supply when the plate temperature exceeds a given threshold. The limiter may be displaced between two different positions. In the first, it is in direct contact with the heat source, and in the second, it is further from the source but linked by a thermal bridge. These two positions provide two conditions under which the limiter may operate, thus defining two operating temperatures for the plate. The adjustment is achieved by rotation or sliding of a control element (11,17,18) from outside the casing.
|
