PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number of receivers installed when a temperature distribution within gas flow passages is to be measured with an acoustic gas temperature measuring apparatus. SOLUTION: Two or more sound wave propagation paths 53, 55, 57 which differ in distance from a transmitter 7 to a receiver 9 opposite to the transmitter 7 are set by propagation distance setting means 23, 25, 27, and received sound waves 31 which have propagated through the set propagation paths 53, 55, 57 are detected by received wave detection means 13, 15, 17. The propagation time 39 of each received wave is measured on the basis of the time when each received wave is detected, and the temperatures 47, 49, 51 of a gas to be measured are determined by a gas temperature computing means 19 on the basis of the propagation time 39.
