PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the convenience of a user side using a post-office box and simultaneously to simplify post-office box management business on a post-office side. SOLUTION: This post-office box system of this form consists of a terminal device 1 which performs use reservation producers of a post-office box device, a control center 3, plural post offices 4a to 4c and post-office boxes 10a and 10c installed in each post-office. Here, a user 20 uses the device 1 to select a post-office 4a to 4c whose post-office box is desired to be used, the center 3 connects the device 1 to the post-office box device of the selected post-office according to a selection command from the device 1, and the post-office box device of the selected post-office performs reservation procedures between the device 1 and itself. The selected post-office box device receives reservation from the device 1 and issues a parcel ID for identifying a parcel to be stored in the post-office box and a reception ID for identifying the user. The post-office uses these IDs to manage the user 20 and a parcel, and the user 20 uses the IDs to utilize the post-office box. |
