PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the remote maintenance device, which can restore the operation of an object computer to be maintained by placing the object computer in operation via an external communication line and remotely maintaining the computer. SOLUTION: A serial line from an object computer 101 to be maintained is connected to a modem 207 through a serial line switch 206. An information processing part 204 inputted to an image signal distributor 201 controls the serial line switch 206 for disconnecting the modem 207 from the object computer 101, and the control is transferred to the information processing part 204. The information processing part 204 controls a keyboard switch 205. The information processing part 204 sends a key code out to the keyboard input terminal of the object computer 101 through the keyboard switch 205. After a maintenance process end command is confirmed, the serial line switch 206 and keyboard switch 205 are switched to the side of the object computer 101, and the normal state is recovered. |
