摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small size display device capable of realizing a sufficient enlarged image, and capable of reducing visibility of boundaries of each region of a lens array by suppressing image quality deterioration of the whole display image. SOLUTION: This liquid crystal display device 1 has a liquid crystal panel 101 equipped with an effective display region PS, a display screen 701 equipped with an image display region DS larger than the effective display region PS, an enlarging image formation optical system 501 for executing enlarging image formation, on the display screen 701, of each region of the effective display region PS divided into plural regions, and a surface light source 301 for illuminating the liquid crystal panel 101 with parallel light. A first and a fifth lens arrays 511, 515 of the enlarging image formation optical system 501 are equipped with each lens arranged so that the effective display region PS of the liquid crystal panel 101 is divided into plural regions, and that boundaries of each region become non-linear.
