PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a quite useful power in which downtime is shortened while reducing the cost of spare parts. SOLUTION: A power converter comprises a single phase inverter circuit contained in a housing while having a rectifier for converting AC power into DC power and an inverter for converting DC power from the rectifier into AC power. The power converter further comprises unit inverter cells 4U1-4U3, 4V1-4V3, 4W1-4W3 having output sides connected in serried with an AC load, an input transformer 3 having a plurality of secondary windings each connected with the unit inverter cell, and a connecting means 13 for replacing an arbitrary one of the plurality of unit inverter cells connected in series and bypassing the outputs of other unit inverter cells. |
