PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a system for measuring power corresponding to an arbitrary frequency band through a simple arrangement. SOLUTION: When a QPSK modulation signal to be analyzed is inputted to a spectrum analyzer, it is converted at a frequency converting section 12 into an IF signal which is then passed through a band-pass filter 14 in order to remove aliasing component and converted into a digital data through an A/D converter 16. At a power calculating section 20, band limit processing through FIR filters 21, 22 is conducted simultaneously with processing for extracting the in-phase component I or the quadrature component Q through multiplication by a sine waveform or a 90 deg. phase-shifted waveform. They are squared at squaring sections 23, 24 and added at an adding section 25 to obtain a power value.
