摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease the film thickness reduction of a photosensitive layer of a photoreceptor when images are formed in a fast process and to obtain good cleaning property by controlling the glass transition temp. and contact angle with pure water of the surface layer of the photosensitive layer to each specified value or larger. SOLUTION: In this photoreceptor, it is indispensable condition that the glass transition temp. of the surface layer of a photosensitive layer is >=105 deg.C and the contact angle with pure water is >=90 deg.. In order to control the glass transition temp. of the surface layer of the photosensitive layer to >=105 deg.C, preferably >=120 deg.C, and in order to control the contact angle with pure water of the surface layer to >=90 deg., preferably >=97 deg., a polycarbonate comprising the following copolymer is preferably incorporated as the main component of the binder resin in the surface layer. The copolymer of the polycarbonate has a structural unit containing Si atoms or F atoms and further has a structural unit which usually does not contain a Si atom or F atom. Especially, the viscosity average mol.wt. of the polycarbonate copolymer is preferably >=5×104, and more preferably <=3×105.
