PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single side band SSB receiver that is automatically tuned for signal demodulation. SOLUTION: The single side band SSB receiver demodulates a received signal by mixing or adding an output signal of a local oscillator 13 with a required frequency with or to a received single side band wave, and is automatically tuned to the single side band wave for signal demodulation on the basis of information about a period and a phase relating to a fundamental frequency of a demodulated voice signal in a prescribed time slot that is obtained by digitizing the demodulated voice signal and applying 1st and 2nd Fourier transform to the digitized signal.
