PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an initialization processing device for vending machine which can change an initialization program while surely performing normal initialization processing. SOLUTION: A first initialization program 18a to perform initialization processing of vending machine is stored in an auxiliary ROM 18 incorporated in a CPU 11, and a second initialization program 12a to perform initialization processing of the vending machine is stored in a main ROM 12, and the first initialization programs 18a or the second initialization program 12a is selected by a switching means 15a. Thus, the improved initialization program 12a can be executed to perform better initialization processing; and even if the initialization program 12a in the main ROM 12 is rewritten, the initialization program in the auxiliary ROM 18 is executed to perform initialization processing without hindrance.
