PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document processing system with which the type of document data printed by means of a printer can be confirmed from a host device side even when the host device and printer use different visual language system and document data can be printed in a desired type. SOLUTION: A document processing system is constituted of a host device and a printer 10 which prints document data stored in the host device and prepares printing data by reading out font data stored in a font memory 4 based on the character code of the character data constituting the printed document data. The system is provided with a character code conversion table 2 on which the correspondence relation between the character code on the host device side and that on the printer 10 side are stored and a character code conversion processing section 3 which converts the character code of the document data stored on the host device side from that on the host device side into that on the printer 10 side. |
