Manufacturing terminal block by moulding plastic around terminals formed from flat strip

A terminal block 41 for an electrical switching device is formed by forming a terminal section from a sheet metal blank. The formed terminal section is then placed in a mould, where the terminal block is embedded into a plastic material to from the completed terminal block. Terminals 12, 45, 19 protrude from the terminal block so that electrical conductors can be connected to them. The connections between the terminals in the block are completely covered by the plastic material. The terminal block may be used to make a time switch.
