PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To output a detection signal of an input signal source with high reliability by adding an identification signal to a plurality of signals, receiving an optionally selected signal among signals outputted from an identification signal addition means and detecting the identification signal from the received signal. SOLUTION: A signal of an image photographed by a camera is given to an input terminal 8. First an ID inserter 12 superimposes an ID on the video signal. This ID is used to identify that a video image is photographed by a prescribed camera and differs from photographing cameras. The video signals with the ID superimposed on them are given to a master switcher 9, which selects an optional video signal among a plurality of the video signals and gives the selected video signal to a fader 10. The fader processes the video signal and outputs the processed signal from an output terminal 11. Then the output video image is on the air. In this case, an ID decoder 13 detects an ID from the processed video image and sends a tarry signal to a camera corresponding to the ID.
