PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely recognize a caller telephone number and to prevent a mischievous call by installing a means for giving the notice of the name of the caller number when a caller is registered in a list and the caller number (originating ID) when he is not registered in the list with sound. SOLUTION: A sound response device 4 transfers an inquiry given from a subscriber exchange 2 to an SPC (database) 5. The database 5 judges it to be a request from a subscriber A and retrieves the data storage table of the subscriber A. When it is retrieved, stored originating ID is informed to the sound response device 4. A list which the subscriber A previously prepares, namely, a list where a series of telephone numbers which possibly arrive at the subscriber A and the names are registered is prepared for the sound response device 4. Originating ID received from the data base 5 is retrieved from the list. When originating ID is registered, that originating ID arrives by the name is informed to the subscriber A with sound.
