Liquid crystal compositions

The specification describes a liquid crystal composition comprising: (a) 1% to 20% of at least one non-ionic surfactant containing ethylene oxide groups; (b) 1% to 30% of a magnesium salt of a C8-C16-alkyl benzene sulphonate surfactant; (c) 0.1% to 10% of an abrasive which can be calcite, polyethylene powder or amorphous silica; (d) 1% to 20% of a water soluble glycol ether cosurfactant; (e) 0.02% to 6% of a water insoluble organic compound selected from the group consisting of perfumes, essential oils and water insoluble hydrocarbons having from 8-18 Carbons (f) 0.1% to 3% of an unsaturated fatty acid having 12-20 Carbons and (g) 20% to 97% water. The pH of the composition is from 4.5-5.0.
