DEVICE AND METHOD FOR EXTRACTING CONTOUR LINE AND STORAGE MEDIUM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably extract a contour line with high precision, which is adaptive to a wide range of images. SOLUTION: An image converting device 12 forms plural conversion images being different in resolution from an input image from an image signal input terminal 10. An image display device 14 simultaneously displays the plural conversion images which are obtained from the device 12. A contour extracting section designating device 18 designates a section for extracting the contour line. A contour line extracting device 16 extracts the contour line in the section which is designated by the device 18.
