PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately position a steam turbine cascade testing device by preventing a pitot tube for measuring a flow out of a cascade from making contact with a cascade supporting part. SOLUTION: A sample blade 3 is fixed to a cascade supporting plate 4 and has a flow passage formed therein by two flow guides 5 and air flows in the passage from a blower duct, this flow of the air measured with a pitot tube 6 immediately after it has flowed out from between blades. The pitot tube 6 is remotely controlled by means of a control board 11 in a measuring chamber 10 so that it is moved up and down and right and left between the blades by a traverse device 9. A circuit consisting of a battery 21 and an electric bulb 20 is connected between the cascade supporting plate 4 and the pitot tube 6 by a wire 22 such that if the pitot tube 6 makes contact with a flow guide 5 during adjustment of the position of the pitot tube 6, a closed circuit is formed and the electric bulb 20 is turned on, thereby prevents contact and permit accurate adjustments.
