PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an outer door lock device in a remote control key system which is improved to secure a high security against mischievous actions and services for emergency. SOLUTION: In this outer door lock device which locks and unlocks an outer door 2 arranged in the front of a main body case 1, a door lock mechanism 3 is unlocked by a motor 4 which is operated on reception of an ID signal from a remote control key, and a maintenance hole leading to the door lock mechanism is opened in the upper face of the outer door, and a lock with a shutter which is locked and unlocked with a duplicate key is added there. Normally, the maintenance hole is closed; but in the case of emergency that unlocking with the remote control key is impossible, the lock is unlocked, and a tool like a screwdriver is inserted to the maintenance hole from the outside to release the door lock mechanism so that the outer door can be opened.
