PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost optical fiber gyro scope structure wherein, being strong against turbulence, the same sensitivity is provided to both quick phase shift and slow phase shift. SOLUTION: A light source 1 for emitting light beam, an optical fiber loop 5 wherein the light is propagated in both directions, a double phase conjugate mirror 9 provided for the loop 5 so that the light is incident from both sides, a recoupling means 4 which couples again the light propagated through circulation in the loop 5, and a detecting means 2 for detecting the pre-coupled signal, are provided. Here, a single mode fiber 11 which keeps no polarization comprises the loop 5 while a polarization settling means 10 for settling polarization is provided on both sides of the loop 5 between the fiber 11 and the double phase conjugate mirror 9.
