PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the number, cost and size of elements by generating a first current value signal using a function table and storing the first current value signal in a first transfer table. SOLUTION: In order to control the rotational position of a stepper motor, a VELOCITY signal is calculated by a controller 16 for every update interval. Each new VELOCITY signal reads out a data from a function table using a speed increment for generating a table address for extracting a data sample from the function table. The function table comprises a sine rule function table 46 and a cosine rule function table 48. That data is used for writing into one of transfer tables 34, 36. After the data is written into one transfer table, a data word from the transfer table is written in an output port 38. The data at an output port pin is a current value signal. |
