PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the hash rate by increasing input message to a hash function device. SOLUTION: In the hash function method for obtaining a hash value by using m-bit block cryptography to compress a message, a hash value before one unit time is inputted as for a n-pieces of m-bit blocks of 2n-pieces of blocks to be inputted to a multiple-Davis-Meyer hash function unit 2. The remaining n-pieces of blocks are encoded to be two-dimensional error correction code terms to be inputted thereto. N-pieces of hash values are obtained by calculating them by the multiple-Davis-Mayer hash function unit 2. The one row fed back and composed of the block only before one unit time is not encoded, but on the 2nd row is two-dimensionally encoded, therefore, new massages can be inputted the more, and this makes this method more efficient. Moreover, the circuit structure is simplified by using a single two-dimensional encoder repeatedly.
