PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent deformation and break of an image display panel and break of a bonding layer by a temperature change by settingβa[k-1] of a coefficient of thermal expansion in the bonding layer to a value betweenβg[k-1] of a coefficient of thermal expansion of a glass face plate andβp[k-1] of a coefficient of thermal expansion of a front panel. SOLUTION:βa of a coefficient of thermal expansion of a bonding layer inclines within a range ofβg<=βa<=βp orβ<=βa<=βg in view of a glass side in a direction of thickness. The bonding layer is divided into n layers of integers of two or more, and the coefficients of thermal expansion of them have changed fromβa1 toβan. Particles are dispersed in the bonding layer for adjusting the coefficient of thermal expansion, and desirable particles are SiO2. An aluminum metal backing 1009 is formed so as to cover phosphor film 1008 formed on an inner surface of a faceplate 1007. A high voltage deriving terminal 1021 is connected with high age voltage power supply. A front panel 1012 is bonded on the outside of the face plate 1007 by an adhesive 1013.
