PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To surely prevent the short circuit between a terminal and the aluminum foil of a battery packaging material at the time of sealing the battery packaging materials with the terminal in between by constituting the battery packaging material as a laminated film of three-layer structure by covering both surfaces of a heat resisting resin film with a film heat-sealable to the inner film of the battery packaging material. SOLUTION: A laminated film of three-layer structure (battery terminal covering material) consisting of a surface material 1 and a heat resisting resin film 2 is wound around a metal terminal 3. The intermediate film 2 of the battery terminal covering material is never melted even by heat seal and can be perfectly prevented from being short-circuited with the aluminum foil of a packaging material even by heating or pressurization. Since the surface material 1 is highly adhesive to the metal terminal 3 and also heat-sealable to the inner film of the battery packaging material, a battery can be perfectly sealed without causing a short circuit between the metal terminal 3 and the aluminum foil of the packaging material. As the heat resisting resin film 2, polyester resin or polyamide is used.
