PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively conduct setting of a destination and to shorten a retrieval time by corresponding a retrieval range of a facility or the like to a kind of the facility. SOLUTION: Initial retrieval ranges (retrieval districts) individually decided at respective kinds of facilities are stored as primary retrieval ranges of respective types (genre) of the facilities in a retrieval range memory means. Thus, the range can be set as the primary retrieval range different according to the kind of the facility, and retrieved by considering the kind of the facility, and hence a retrieval result can be sufficiently displayed. That is, in addition to map data, a previously registered registration point data and a type name are stored in a navigation data memory. In the respective types, moving ranges (retrieval districts) individually correspond to the kinds in response to the kinds. For example, since a convenience store exists at a relatively short distance interval, its moving range is narrowly set to 10 km. The district exists at a remote distance interval, its moving range is set widely to a 'whole country'. |
