PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image which is not deteriorated from limitation of facsimile resolution on a reception side by installing a facsimile data transmission part transmitting regular facsimile data when a transmission switch part judges that a transmission destination does not have a file reception part. SOLUTION: Transmission-side facsimile software 1 negotiates with a transmission destination system by a transmission switch part 11, and judges what is the transmission destination system. When the transmission destination system is regular facsimile, control is moved to a facsimile data transmission part 12, When the transmission destination system is a facsimile system with file transfer function, control is moved to a file transmission part 13. Reception-side FAX software 2 negotiates with a transmission source system by a reception switch part 21 and judges what is the transmission source system. Thus, an obtained image is not affected by facsimile resolution and a reception side can obtain an image which is not deteriorated from limitation of facsimile resolution.
