PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To correct a device with a simple structure even if it has miss- convergence of a specified pattern by interposing a thin and flat spiral coil between a neck and a deflection yoke. SOLUTION: A thin and flat spiral air-core coil 6 is interposed in a side of an inner peripheral surface of a deflection yoke 5, that is, between a neck 2 and the deflection yoke 5, miss-convergence is corrected with the thin coil 6. The thin coil preferred is a loop coil short-circuited with a curled inner end and a outer end, and is a coil composed so that current is supplied to the thin coil. Moreover, the thin coil preferred is a coil affixed at a desired position between the neck and the deflection yoke, and is a coil interposed between the neck and the deflection yoke in a state affixed on one end side of an sheet shaped insulating member. A magnetic field strength with the deflection yoke is weakened, and a degree of strong and weak of the magnetic field strength is adjusted to correct, so that a correcting device, which can correspond to a partial miss-convergence, is obtained.
