PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a mobile unit user to surely eliminate the noises which are caused by the mobile unit and a transmitting environment of wireless communication by mounting a network muting function. SOLUTION: In this system, a network muting function is added to a mobile unit 110. When the network muting function is started, the unit 110 sends a message to a mobile switching center 140 to cut a voice path that secures the mutual connection between a user of the unit 110 and other participants. Thus, the center 140 connects the voice path to a noise generator 148 which supplies a background noise that can be heard by only other participants and hardly disturb the participants. The user of a muted unit 110 can hear all communications from other participants. Meanwhile, the user of the unit 110 dials an access code to start the network muting function.
